ECO Home UK Partners with Bristol City Leap’s Bright Green Homes Project

At ECO Home UK, we’re passionate about creating comfortable, energy-efficient homes. That’s why we’re thrilled to be a partner in Bristol City Leap’s innovative Bright Green Homes project! This exciting initiative is helping residents across the  South West enjoy the benefits of a greener lifestyle, all while tackling fuel poverty in the region.

What is the Bright Green Homes Project?

Led by Bristol City Leap, in collaboration with Bristol City Council, North Somerset Council, and Bath & North East Somerset Council, the Bright Green Homes project offers a fantastic opportunity for homeowners to upgrade their properties with the latest eco-friendly technology.

What improvements can you get?

ECO Home UK is proud to be collaborating with multiple businesses to provide homes with a range of energy-saving measures, including:

  • Cavity Wall Insulation: Traps heat in your home, keeping you warm and
     educing energy bills.
  • Loft Insulation: Up to a quarter of your home’s heat can escape through a
poorly insulated loft. We’ll ensure you’re not losing valuable warmth.
  • Underfloor Insulation: Especially beneficial for draughty ground floors, underfloor insulation creates a more comfortable living space.
  • Air Source Heat Pumps: A sustainable alternative to traditional gas boilers, air source heat pumps provide efficient and eco-friendly heating and hot water.
  • Solar Photovoltaic (PV) panels: Generate your own clean electricity with
solar panels, reducing your reliance on the grid and potentially even allowing you to sell excess energy back.

This translates to year-round home comfort with eliminated draughts and consistent temperatures, ensuring a cosy atmosphere regardless of the season. Furthermore, upgraded homes stand to enjoy substantial savings on their annual heating and electricity bills, potentially amounting to hundreds of pounds each year! However, the advantages of this project extend far beyond mere financial benefits. By reducing these homes’ reliance on fossil fuels, this project plays a pivotal role in advancing Bristol’s ambitious goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030. Therefore, ECO Home UK takes immense pride in being a part of this transformative initiative!

Who is eligible?

The Bright Green Homes project is available to households that meet the following criteria:

  • Currently rely on electric, oil, LPG, or solid fuel heating (homes with gas central heating are not eligible).
